NIMHANS invites applications for Project Associate-1 in Clinical Research for Neuromodulation in Psychiatry

The National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences in Bangalore is seeking applications for positions in the project titled “Clinical Research for Neuromodulation in Psychiatry,” on a contract basis under the DBT Wellcome Trust India Alliance. NIMHANS is a medical institution in Bangalore, India that marks the apex center for mental health and neuroscience education in the country. The principal investigators for this position are Dr. G. Venkatasubramanian, Dr. Jagadisha Thirthalli, and Dr. Urvakhsh Meherwan Mehta from the Department of Psychiatry at NIMHANS.

Qualifications required:

Clinical Psychology MSc from a reputable school or university

And 

Proficiency in clinical research encompassing cognitive and clinical evaluations of individuals with severe mental illnesses

In addition

expertise analyzing EEG, HRV, and brain imaging data

Upper age limit: 32 years

Salary:

• a) 31,000 INR + HRA (for the candidates qualified in National eligibility tests)
• b) 25,000 INR + HRA for candidates who do not fall in the above.

Duration of the post:

Initial appointment will be made for a period of 6 months and will be extendable till the end of the project depending upon the performance of the candidate.
