National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) has announced its 1st International Conference on Clinical Neuropsychology and Cognitive Neuroscience (CNCNC) to be held from 5th to 7th March 2026. The conference has been organised by the Department of Clinical Psychology, NIMHANS, Bengaluru, Karnataka. It’s an offline conference.

The “Neuropsychology” unit at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences was established in 1975. It was one of the first hubs that integrated clinical assessment, cognitive electrophysiology, and indigenous test development. Initially, the centre emerged as the national centre of excellence and continues to set benchmarks in the discipline of clinical Neuropsychology. 

I-CNCNC: 2026

The conference aims to improve patient outcomes worldwide in terms of clinical Neuropsychology. The theme of the conference is “Brain Health: From theory to practice”. It’s a three-day conference from 5th to 7th March 2026, along with a pre-conference workshop day on 4th March 2026. This gives a professional space to network and connect with experts, clinicians, researchers and students from the field of cognitive neuroscience, psychology, Neuropsychology, engineers and many other disciplines that closely work with areas of neurocognition and brain health. Thus, it offers a collaborative opportunity among professionals across the globe. 

Abstract Submission

The conference opens is platform for acceptance of papers and abstracts related to neuroscience, clinical Neuropsychology, and cognition. This may include diagnosis & assessment in Neuropsychology, management of neurological, experimental psychology, and psychiatric conditions. Neuroimaging, Neuropsychological intervention, electrophysiological studies and research on brain-behaviour relationships across the lifespan.

Format for Abstract Submission 

The following should be reviewed while formatting and submission of the abstract – 

  • It must include a title: clearly indicating the topic, ideally less than 12 words 
  • List of all authors and their affiliations 
  • Introduction: needs to include a brief about the Research topic, its relevance and research questions or objectives. 
  • Methods: deceiving study design, sample and outline of assessment tool and procedure
  • Result: summarising findings and statistical significance, along with relevant clinical observations 
  • Discussion / Conclusion: interpretation of findings connecting to existing literature 
  • Mention the limitations of the research 
  • Keywords – 3 to 5 
  • Word limit 300

2. Late & on spot registration (1st March Onwards)

3. Pre Registration
