The National Institute of Mental Health and neuroscience (NIMHANS) has announced a walk-in-interview cum written test for the post of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) on a contract basis for an iHub Drishti Foundation, IIT Jodhpur funded project titled “VR4CIMT- Virtual Reality-based compassion and integrity training platform for doctor-patient communication,” a collaborative project under Dr. Paulomi M. Sudhir, Professor, Dept. of Clinical Psychology, NIMHANS, Bangalore, and IIIT-Bangalore and Hyperreality, Bangalore.
The Educational Qualifications required are:
- MPhil in Clinical Psychology (RCI Recognized) or
- First-class master’s in clinical psychology including integrated degrees in clinical psychology with two years of clinical experience.
Key experiences:
- Having worked in multidisciplinary settings/teams, including medical settings
- Experience with using qualitative methods of research such as interviewing, group discussion.
Other Considerations:
- The candidate must possess good oral and written communication skills.
- Candidate must have knowledge of basic statistical software and entry of data
- They must be willing to travel within Bangalore for the collection of data
The maximum age limit for this position is 35 years, and the initial appointment will be for six months, with the possibility of extension based on satisfactory performance. The salary for this position is 31,000 + 27% HRA (43,400)

NOC from the Principal Investigator is necessary while working on extramural or intramural studies inside NIMHANS.
Something to be noted is that thirty minutes before to the start of the written exam, candidates must register their names and no TA/DA will be paid for attending the written test.
