In Roorkee, Uttarakhand, there is an independent research university called IIT Roorkee. The oldest technical university in Asia is IIT Roorkee, which was founded in 1847 as Thomason College of Civil Engineering. The 358.5-acre main campus of IIT Roorkee is situated in Roorkee, Haridwar District. For the position of project officer (clinical psychologist/counselor) or project officer (assistant counselor), applications are being accepted for the wellness center, which would provide counseling services to the IIT Roorkee community.

An organization’s different projects are planned, carried out, and managed by a professional known as a project officer. A Project Officer may work on efforts to enhance mental health services, develop awareness campaigns, or carry out interventions in the capacity of a mental health counselor. They must coordinate stakeholders, deadlines, and resources to make sure the project’s objectives are achieved. As a mental health counselor, your duties could also include planning and managing programs, working with teams, assessing results, and improving access to services and support for people who need it most.

Qualifications & Experience:

M. Phil in clinical/medical/social psychology with 1 year of experience

OR

Ph.D. in psychology or post-graduation in psychology & professional diploma in clinical psychology/ post-graduate diploma in psychotherapy, rehabilitation & counseling/ post-graduate diploma in guidance & counseling/ PG diploma in mental health/ rehabilitation psychology with 3 years of experience (for Assistant Counsellor)

Emoluments:

Rs. 40,000/- to 65,000/- + HRA (as per qualification & experience)

Duration:

1 year, which can extend for 1 more year based on performance.
