Mental health as a universal right

One in eight people is living with a mental health condition, but most of them do not receive the right treatment and services in the country. Many of them face stigma, discrimination, and injustice. To push awareness, the theme of World Mental Health Week “Mental health as a universal right” wants to convey that mental health isn’t a privilege but a universal human right. Integrate community-based support, interventions, and psychological help into healthcare planning. Governments must provide care that will uphold these basic rights of humans and promote recovery.
