Riya Kapoor is a Counselling Psychologist and Licensed Special Educator, currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Psychology from Christ University, Delhi NCR (Part-Time). She works as a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Facilitator at Heritage Xperiential Learning School, where she designs and leads inclusive, emotionally responsive learning experiences that foster students’ social, emotional, and behavioural growth. Her professional journey is deeply rooted in a commitment to child and adolescent mental health. She is particularly passionate about integrating therapeutic practices within educational settings, focusing on emotional regulation, behavioural support, self-concept building, and strengthening parent-child relationships. Her key areas of interest include trauma-informed care, neurodiversity, and strengths-based interventions. As an advocate for children with special needs and persons with disabilities, Riya strives to create equitable systems where every learner feels seen, heard, and empowered. Through both her practice and research, she aims to bridge the gap between mental health and education, driven by her belief in providing support that is accessible, meaningful, and grounded in empathy.
