The Department of Psychology and Mental Health at Gautam Buddha University (GBU) in Greater Noida is currently pulling together what looks like a massive event for the professional community. Teaming up with Conscious Mind Solutions, they are set to host the 51st National Conference of the Indian Association of Clinical Psychologists (NACIACP 2026) from April 9th to 11th. The core focus this year is essentially on the biggest shift the field is facing right now: Artificial Intelligence.
The Theme: Expanding Horizons
Under the banner “Expanding Horizons of Clinical Psychology in the Era of AI across Healthcare Settings,” the conference is really getting into the weeds of how AI is shaking up everything from basic patient assessments to the way care is personalised. But it isn’t just a celebration of tech. A huge part of the conversation is actually about the ethics of it all. The organisers are pushing for a real dialogue on how to balance these high-tech tools with data security and, most importantly, ensuring the human connection in therapy doesn’t get sidelined in the process.
Why NACIACP 2026 is the Place to Be
Professional Accreditation (CRE): The event is RCI approved, allowing practising professionals to earn 6 CRE points per day (totalling 18 points for the full three-day attendance).
Scholarly Recognition: In a major boost for researchers, the 30 best papers presented will be published in an edited book with an ISBN, through a partnership with a renowned international publisher.
Massive Reach: With over 1,000 expected delegates, attendees will be rubbing shoulders with psychologists, top-tier researchers, and medical pros from all over the world.
Collaborative Innovation Hub: A dedicated space has been carved out for organisations to showcase the latest psychological tools, AI-driven software, and recent literature.
A Distinguished International Faculty
The conference brings a truly global perspective to Greater Noida, featuring heavy hitters in clinical innovation:
- North America: Experts like Dr Urszula Klich and Prof. B.L. Dubey (USA), alongside Dr Vinay Kumar Singh and Dr Eunjung Lee (Canada).
- Europe: A strong contingent, including Dr Basavaraja Papanna (NHS, UK), Dr Rüdiger Schellenberg (Germany), and Dr Antonio Cervigni (Italy).
- Global Insights: Voices from Sri Lanka (Dr Sanath Mahawithanage), Thailand (Dr Suriya Deo Tripathi), and Tunisia (Dr Emna Benmansour).
The Core Mission
The dialogue moves beyond just celebrating technology. It focuses on:
- Improving the precision and accessibility of care through AI.
- The ethical “use and misuse” of digital tools in clinical settings.
- Maintaining data security and, most importantly, preserving the human connection in therapy.
Leadership & Vision
The event is being organised under the patronage of the IACP Executive Council, led by Hon. President Dr G.S. Kaloiya. At the university level, the initiative is headed by Chief Patron Prof. Rana Pratap Singh (VC, GBU) and Conference Convenor Dr Anand Pratap Singh.
At the intersection of technology and the human mind, the 51st NACIACP is more than a conference. It is a definitive platform for shaping the future of clinical psychology in India and beyond.
