IIPSci 2026 Conference: 12th International and 14th Indian Psychological Science Congress

The National Association of Psychological Science (NAPSci) brings one of the most ambitious conferences in scope: the 12th International and 14th Indian Psychological Science Congress. The conference will be held at Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya (DSVV), Haridwar, Uttarakhand, on 30-31 October 2026 (Friday- Saturday). It’s about Mind, Body and Society- Sustainable Wellness Across the Age.

The Conference and the Theme

The India International Psychological Science Congress (IIPSci) is an annual flagship event of the National Association of Psychological Science, Regd. It is a body to promote psychological science in research, education and practice in India and globally. The conference is designed to raise awareness about the importance of interprofessional working that fully embraces the inter-relationships between mental health, physical health, social relationships, engagement with community and cultural contexts, all from childhood to old age.

The host institution of DSVV is itself thematically significant as Haridwar. Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya is a university established on the principle of amalgamation of modern science and Indian cultural and spiritual values. In this context, the theme makes explicit reference to indigenous and culturally relevant ways of being well as one of its goals, which resonates with this setting.

Sub-Themes: The Range of Questions Being Asked

The conference has established 21 sub-themes, which is an indication of the organisers’ desire to be as broad as possible and to cover the vast majority of the field of modern psychological science.

Awards

IIPSci 2026 is unique among many national conferences with its three prestigious award categories:

  • The NAPSci Best Paper Award 2026 for original empirical research papers, which are studies that rely on data that are new to them data that they have collected and analysed themselves not for reviews or theoretical works. This focus on original empirical research is the translation of the desire to improve the evidence base of psychological science in India, instead of merely disseminating existing evidence.
  • Psychological Science Award 2026 invites work profiles from professionals and NGOs, acknowledging that meaningful contributions to psychological science are not confined to academic researchers, but can also involve practitioners, community workers and civil society organisations engaged in applied work in the field.
  • NAPSci Lifetime Achievement Award 2026 recognises those who have made either a meaningful and unique contribution to Psychology as a science, reflecting the historical awareness of the Organising Committee and the importance of acknowledging the researchers, academics, and practitioners who have established Psychology over the course of long careers.
