Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Department of Psychology and School of Social Sciences, is organising a three-day conference from 5th to 7th February 2026. It’s an offline conference to be held at the University itself. The theme of the conference is “Indigenous Practices and Modern Psychological Models and Innovation: Bridging the Gap for Promoting Health and Well-being.”

Banaras Hindu University
The University was founded in 1916 by Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya, a nationalist leader in the city of Varanasi. The department of psychology began its journey in the year 1949 and in 1962 gained an independent status. The department balances both experimentation and applied psychology and is well-equipped with seven laboratories. The department offers various programs for graduation, post-graduation and PhD.
